The ski resort

The family skiing area in the heart of Ski amadé is the best way describe wonderful Wagrain. The resourceful ski resort regularly improves the area by maintaining as well as building new lift systems. The innovative approach and welcoming atmosphere have made the resort a favorite destination for many satisfied skiers who return year after year.
In Wagrain you can enjoy 350 pitse kilometers distributed into 120 perfectly groomed slopes with snow guarantee. Even though it only takes approximately 20 centimeters of snow to be able to ski, Wagrain has ensured itself with super snow cannons. They can make it possible to keep 90% of the area open and functions even in +2 degrees.
In general, the slopes are wide, well-shaped and easy to navigate, which makes them perfect for all levels – especially the little skiers and beginners! Notably families feel particularly comfortable on the wide slopes. On the other hand, there is great options for the experts and carving kings on the large and wide slopes with clear panorama sight. We recommend visiting the World Cup slope in Zauchensee and the Herman Maier tour in Flachau.
Bonus info: Ski amadé covers five first class regions.

A cozy town

Wagrain is not only a perfect destination for skiing, but also numerous of other activities. Atmosphere is calm which automatically makes you gear down and relax while you walk by the Austrian wooden facades covered with snow. No matter where you live in the town, you will always be close to a ski lift. In Wagrain there is plenty of shopping options, supermarkets, and restaurants. After a satisfying day of skiing we reccomond to visit Adventure Pool Wasserwelt. It has spacious pool areas, attractions for children as well as a diverse sauna area make it a great experience for all ages.

Innovation & improvement

An important major investment is the famous G-Link, that enabled a flying connection between Wagrains two mountains, respectively Grafenberg and Griessenkarreck. G-Link can transport 130 persons at a time and have become revolutionary for the creation of a cohesive ski resort between Wagrain, Flachau and St. Johann.
More recently it is the Panorama-Link who steals the attention with is optimizing purpose. The new Panorama-Link cable car connects the two areas Snow Space Salzburg and Flachauvinkl-Kleinarl. The route leads from the mountain stations on Griessenkareck over the ridge to the mountain station Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl, which puts an end to the need of a shuttlebus between the areas. Beside the practical part the 8 minutes ride will be with a unique panoramic view across the mountains. This genius connection will make your ski vacation even better and will be ready for the season 2020/2021.
The desire for improvement does not end here. Soon to come another project will be completed and once again it will strengthen the resort. The well known Flying Mozart cable car will replaced with a new upgrade version. The New Flying Mozart is a modern and high-performance gondola with 10-passenger cabins. It will provide easy access to G-Link, offer free WiFi and have a carrying capacity of 4.000 passengers per hour, which is unique in the world.
