The ski resort
St. Anton is rated among the top five resorts in the Alps, and for good reason. St. Anton am Arlberg have always been famous for its beauty, very reliable snow extending right to the villages and the perfect condition of its slopes. Located in the Arlberg region you will find one of Austria’s largest ski areas with a fast link to the neighboring area Lech. St. Anton is also known as one of Europe’s snowiest and the absolutely best ski resorts. This gives the powder hunting skiers excellent opportunities to enjoy the more than 200 kilometers of offpiste terrain. For the carving enthusiasts who loves perfect groomed slopes there is 305 kilometers of superbly prepared slopes for all ability levels. St. Anton is suitable for those who swears to the challenging steep slopes, deep snow ski-runs, amazing carving areas, permanent racing circuits and snowboard fun parks.
A total state-of-the art cable cars and ski lifts offers the highest standards of comfort, safety, and efficiency, which only makes the whole experience better.
In addition to the excellent ski conditions, there is numerous of cozy meeting places in the terrain where it is possible to enjoy a delicious lunch or refreshments.
The resort fully deserves its cult status among the world’s experts. A note to self is to be aware, that pistes classified as blues in St. Anton, normally would be reds in other resorts.
In general St. Anton is undoubtedly a resort that favors more advances skiers and snowboarders.

 

A sparkling town
Although it can be difficult to break away from the great skiing, the town of St. Anton is something for itself. Despite the expansion over the years, the town still remains an extremely attractive, extravagant and authentic Tirolean mountain village at heart. The pedestrianized Dorfstrasse cuts through the centre, with restaurants, boutiques and bars along it, several of which are still housed in centuries-old timber and stone farmhouses. The villages onion-domes church dating back to the 17th century, still takes pride of the Dorfstrasse, which is embraced by the breathing taking mountains rising steeply above St. Anton og both sides of the narrow valley.

 

Time for wellness
The Arlberg WellCom is an amazing solution for those who value wellness and relaxation. Situated at the base of Campen mountain, only a few minutes from the town centre, you will find the architecturally striking complex. The contemporary glass and timbered facility offer numerous indoor and outdoor pools, steam rooms, saunas, massage treatments and a fully equipped gym.

Skiing for children
Even though the ski resort is famous among the experienced, then the youngest and newest skiers are still taken into account. St. Anton offers great programs for children and their parents. The children ski instructors are experts with lots of patience, imagination and understanding, which without doubt will give the youngest a safe and memorable time. For the little ones from the age of 2,5 years old there is a Kindergarten, which is a ideal place to leave them for a few hours of playing and lots of fun.

Après ski
St. Anton is the spiritual home of après, thanks to the infamous and by many beloved Mooserwirt and plenty of other crazy bars. The après ski starts already on the way down of the mountain. To be precise most of the best places are situated along the lower slopes towards the bottom. At Mooserwirt you will be served by Austrian men in lederhosen, who happily maneuver through the crowd with large trays of draft beer, flügl and flying hirsh to the sound of DJ Ötzi and Anton aus Tirol. If you have not already slipped past Mooserwirt, this is guaranteed to be a must-try for all après-ski lovers. St. Anton is the home of some of the wildest parties in the Alps. But do not worry, there is a wide range of bars which meets the needs of all. Whether you prefer live music in cozy surroundings or dancing on the tables in ski boots there is a place for you.
